Moving people from their normal workplace or school to a camp can be an effective means for teambuilding, creativity, education and boosting of innovation. A camp invites tight and intense processes among the participants and promises to bring them out of their daily routines through goal-oriented and rational behaviour. At the camp a playful atmosphere, out-of-box thinking and constructive cooperation can be created. The Camp is not an alternative but a complement to normal activities and a means to transform and strengthen normal activities. The Camp model can be applied in entrepreneurship teaching. As mentioned, the Camp is not an alternative to traditional classroom teaching but a valuable complementary activity with creative processes, interaction across disciplines and the involvement of external people such as business leaders. The article was written by Torben Bager for an international conference in 2009.
